Hello my loves! It's been a while, I've felt extremely uninspired and unmotivated to continue with this blog. However I love this creative outlet so I've decided to revamp it a bit which included changing the name. It is now officially called Maisie Kelli! I bought a new camera and I'm super excited to be putting out some quality content for all you babes. I'm planning on posting once a week. This will include my monthly go 2's which will be products that I noticed myself reaching for during the month. This will replace my monthly 'favorites' I might mention some products twice if I noticed myself going back for them but I mostly want to keep it to new products. I'm so excited to be creating again and I am going to put my all into this blog and I can't wait to see what it brings. Thank you for sticking with me and let's get into my go 2's. This palette is so good, it's comparable to the modern renaissance palette. The blend-ability of the shadows is out of this world, and the color range is diverse, you can do a completely neutral look with this palette as well as some beautiful warm coral and cranberry looks. There has been some controversy about this brand but I have never had any issues with them, only great experiences (they often offer deals such as percentages off and free shipping.) If your worried about security issues they are now available at ulta as well as urban outfitters and bloomingdales. This palette retails for $34 here or you can get it with its sister venus 2 in a bundle for $53 here. This primer has been my savior this month as my skin dries out in this cold weather. It goes beautifully with any foundation that I have tried with it and gives my skin much needed moisture without looking oily. It also makes my foundation last all day long which is a big job as I have a problem touching my face....oops. You can get it here for $32. Wet n Wild has been stepping up their game lately. The coverage this foundation gives is mind blowing and it has a beautiful satin finish. It does oxidize a bit and has a strong paint like smell but that goes away after application. This foundation also prevents flashback in photos which is an awesome plus. Find it here for $6. Melt cosmetics is such an underrated brand, with unique packaging and amazing products it is a total win. This particular eyeshadow stack is a must have for warm shadow lovers. The stack includes five matte warm shadows that are extremely pigmented and easy to blend. The color payoff is amazing and lasts all day long. You can get your own for $58 here. They often fun sales especially during the holidays. Colourpops ultra satin lip formula is one of my favorite liquid lips. The price point can't be beat and they have a huge color selection. This particular color is so perfect for the holidays and is very flattering on multiple skin tones get it here for $6. Tarte's amazonian clay blushes are to die for. This particular palette gives you an amazing assortment of eight of those beautiful blushes plus two stunning highlights. The packaging is adorable and the product is top notch. Get it for $44 here. Lately I've been using these two Colourpop shadows together for a simple and easy look. I like to put wattles the lighter mauve shade on my lid and blend down onto my lower lid. Then I take central perk the brown red shade onto my top and lower lash line on the outer corner. Get them for $5 each wattles here and central perk here.

Hey Babes! This month I wanted to create a look for Valentines day and this gem is what I came up with. It's already in the 80's in Vegas so I've been pulling out my shorts and dresses; it's so fun! I am completely in love with valentines day, it's just so fun with all the pink, glitter and chocolate. I loved how this slouchy dress and floral kimono looked paired together it is almost giving me bohemian vibes. However I didn't want this to look too undone so I decided to pair the outfit with pointed toe flats that were a fun pop of color and also added some structure to the look. This outfit can easily be daytime and transition to night for that V-day date or a Galentines night. As always thanks for reading and let me know what you think and what you'd like to see next in the comments down below. And may the wings of your eyeliner always be even, Maisie. oUTFIT DETAILSDRESS: Maurices
KIMONO: Forever 21 SHOES: Express NECKLACES: Rue 21 Photos by Reanna Gardner Hey babes! I know, I just posted my 2016 favorites and now it's already February! I guess that means it's time for my January favorites! I didn't try to many products this month but I did find some that I really love, so here they are. Hard candy primer mistI tried this because I heard someone say it was comparable to the Smashbox primer water which I love. However I don't think this is exactly like that product but I must say I love this primer. It is much thicker but still extremely hydrating and really holds onto your makeup. I like that this product doubles as a setting spray although the mister is low quality but it is a drug store product so that is to be expected. Find it here. Kat von d tattoo eyelinerI have always loved the stilla stay all day liner but this has just surpassed that for me. I love that it is a brush tip instead of a felt tip. Felt tips can fray out and dry out much faster. This stuff has amazing stay power it has held on sleeping through the night (I fell asleep with makeup on, I know I'm the worst.) Definitely worth the high-end price tag you can get them here. mario badescu rosewater facial sprayEveryone has been using this and I decided to jump on the bandwagon and oh my goodness I'm never getting off. First of all this brand is one that I love and their products have never irritated my extremely sensitive skin. I can't even begin tell you all of the things you can do with this product. My favorites are as a gentle toner, to set your makeup, to blend your makeup, and to settle all of your skincare. You can join the bandwagon here. makeup revolution highlighter in golden lightsThis. Highlighter. Is. EVERYTHING. I just want to sit in front of my mirror and constantly dip my fan brush into this powder of the Gods and run it on top of my cheekbone. When I do hair I catch myself staring at my highlight in the mirror cause it's just breathtaking get the glow here. physicians formula butter bronzerYou guys! This bronzer smells like a tropical vacation and looks even better. It blends like a dream that stays true to it's name. I've been really into the natural looking glow with a BB cream and bronzer and a highlight and this is my go to. It is a lovely shade however if you are a deeper skin tone it probably won't suit you. You can find it here. first aid beauty deep cleanser with red clayThis is also one of my favorite skin care brands, and this cleanser has changed my life. It seriously feels so good when you are washing your face and it feels like it is actually cleaning deep in your skin. Another plus is you only have to use a pea sized amount. Get it here.
Hey babes! It's a whole new year so I've decided to look back on all my beauty favorites of 2016. These were my ride or favorites throghout the year and I'm so excited to share them with you. Without further ado here are my 2016 beauty favorites.
1. BABY LIPS DR. RESCUE- I get chapped lips really easily, and all the coconut oil in the world can't fix it. This chapstick saves my life every time. For a few bucks and you can pick it up here. 2. THEY'RE REAL MASCARA BY BENEFIT- I know I'm kind of late to the party on this one, but I had previously tried a sample of this mascara and I hated it. I don't know if they've changed their formula or anything else but let me tell you I got a full sized version of they're real in a black friday deal and I don't think I will ever buy a different high end mascara. It lengthens, adds volume, and doesn't transfer throughout the day which is something I have had a problem with. You can get it here. 3. MORPHE 35N PALETTE- If you are just starting out on your makeup journey or are looking for a good quality palette to beef up your makeup arsenal look no further. This palette is full of gorgeous wearable colors that are great quality and is affordable. This palette is all matte and each pan has a good amount of product. the packaging isn't very pretty but for the cost it is easily looked over. Get yours here. 4.NYX HD CONCEALER- If you've never tried this concealer you need to stop everything you're doing and try it, right now. It's literally life changing and also incredibly affordable. Find it here. 5.CANDIED APPLE 2 IN 1 CHEEK AND LIP STAIN BY TRIFLE COSMETICS- This has been my go to blush this year. It is the most gorgeous color and blends like a dream. As if it weren't all ready holy grail worthy it also stays on through anything. Another bonus is this brand is seriously the cutest thing ever, if you haven't checked them out yet you really need to right now click here. But finish reading this post first. ;) 6. ULTRA REPAIR CREAM BY FIRST AID BEAUTY- This is the best moisturizer I have and will ever use; I'm seriously so in love. It has rescued my very dry skin and a 2 ounce bottle lasts me about six months. If you have dry skin anywhere at all you need this in your life. Get moisturized here. 7. NYX CONTOUR PALETTE- If you are conturing on a budget, this is the palette for you. It is a bit pricey for drug store but is totally worth every penny. It goes on sale at Ulta every so often, but it wont disappoint even you purchase full price. Find it here. 8. L'OREAL INFALLIABLE LIQUID EYELINER- This product will always be my drugstore ride or die liner. It is gorgeous and has amazing staying power. It is comparable to the stilla stay all day liner which retails for twice as much. Get yours here. 9.LIP PARFAIT IN GUILTY PUG BY TRIFLE COSMETICS- I am obsessed with this lippy. It is such a fun color that is totally wearable. When I first recieved it I thought it would be a dime a dozen mauve lipstick but it really is quite unique. While it is a mauve it also has lovely orange undertones that make it super beautiful and a color I find myself reaching for often. Find lucious lips here. Comment below your favorites from this year. Is there anything I missed? Follow me on instagram @eyelashesandcurls and like my facebook page! Thanks for reading, And may the wings of you eyeliner always be even, Maisie. I have some really exciting news! I finally made my youtube channel! and may the wings of your eyeliner always be even, Maisie. I have adopted a regular skin care routine that has really helped my rosacea and calmed my stress breakouts. I love reading others skin care routines and have found a few tricks from reading them, so I'm hoping you can find something helpful in mine so let's get right into it. Coconut OilTo start my skin care routine I remove all my eye makeup by rubbing about a teaspoon of melted coconut oil onto my eyelid and lashes. I then wipe this away with a towel or a makeup wipe. ScrubbiesTo cleanse my face I use little plastic scrubbies and they have changed my life! I get mine from Walmart and they cost about $2 for a pack of two, you can get them here. My face feels so much softer since I've started using these and they take off all my makeup. CleanserMy favorite cleanser is the Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser. It makes your face feel tingly which is the best feeling in the whole world. The charcoal really cleans out clogged pores and after a long day and a full face of makeup, it really cleans me out. I like to apply a squirt of cleanser to my scrubbie then scrub for about two minutes. Then rinse or wash off with a wet towel. Spot TreatmentAfter I cleansed my face I apply spot treatment if needed. Proactive's refining mask is the best spot treatment I have ever used. You just apply it when you feel a zit coming on, leave it for ten minutes then wash it off. Any possible zits are gone. This stuff is a life saver. Vitamin E PillsAfter I rinse off any spot treatment I break open a gel vitamin E pill and smear it under my eyes and on my lashes. then I let that soak in. This reduces wrinkles and makes my lashes grow like crazy. Let It BreatheIt's very important to give your skin some time to breath between cleansing and moisturizing. I like to wait a minimum of ten minutes but I usually give it about an hour. I will usually watch a TV show or catch up on a book then apply moisturizer when I'm done. MoisturizerOne of my favorite moisturizers is First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. It is one of the only moisturizers that does not break me out. It keeps my skin soft and hydrated and does not make me oily. I hope that you found something helpful in my routine, comment if you have any go to skin care hacks. Thanks for reading! May the wings of your eyeliner always be even, Maisie. I have not posted in over two months and I am so sorry for that. Lately I have been having a rough time adjusting to everything that is happening around me. I have forgotten how much relief this blog can offer me when I'm having a rough time but I am back. I wanted to update you guys on things to come and I am hoping to upload about twice a week. I have some things I wanna start doing with my blog that I'll be initiating (I can't think of a better word) in the next few months. I am working on setting up a youtube channel to go along with my blog. I'm very excited about it and I'm hoping that I can get it up very soon. I am so incredibly grateful for your support I love you all and I hope you are having an amazing day. Remember that you are loved, beautiful and made for incredible things. I am in a great place right now and I am so excited to continue on this journey thank you for sticking with me
and may the wings of your eyeliner always be even, Maisie. This is my cute niece. She was enthralled by the "hoseys." How cute is this fair?! It provided such a fun backdrop for this outfit. This is my first fall post since today is the first day of fall! I'm so excited to actually have seasons this year (leaves are already starting to fall!) Anyways let's get onto the outfit, I loved how fun the mixed patterns look. It's so fun how unexpected the houndstooth jacket is with this vibrant tribal print. Mixing patterns is very under rated, it is such a fun way to show your fashionista side. When mixing patterns I find it best to go with a out of the ordinary print and add a neutral print like stripes, polka dots, or in this case houndstooth. One of my favorite ways to mix patterns is stripes and florals it is super easy to do and looks great.
May the wings of your eyeliner always be even, Maisie. Outfit Details Jacket- Lane Bryant Shirt-Marshalls Pants-Old Navy Shoes= Rue 21 Photos by Daniel Simpkins Hello my lovelies, it is now August which means It is time to do my July Favorites! I am so sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been out of town a bunch, but I am so excited to be back and posting more than ever. I have tutorials and fashion posts coming your way as well as more on my body image series. I would like to give a humongous thank you to everyone who shared my post, thanks to you it reached one thousand views so please keep on sharing, it helps me to reach more and more people! I am astonished everyday by the amount of support I have gotten through my blog. Thank you for coming on this journey with me I can't wait to see where we go! I am also thinking about starting a YouTube channel for my blog so stay tuned for more info on that. Now let's get into my July favorites. Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse FoundationI was looking for a new drug store foundation as I've found the Maybelline one I normally use (Fit Me! Matte and Poreless) is a tad to yellow for me and oxidizes on my face A LOT throughout my day. I haven't dabbled much with Rimmel besides a mascara here and there and and a free eyeliner that comes with that mascara, but I had heard of this foundation before so I gave it a try and I am SO glad that I did. It matches my pale skin very well which is extremely hard to find for me. It had a thick consistency which make it easier to build if needed. It also has a very nice amount of coverage especially for a drug store foundation. Though the best selling point for me was that the foundation is only $5! If you aren't happy with your foundation you need to try this. You can get it here at Ulta. L'Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Brass Banisher Blonde Shampoo & ConditionerThis shampoo and conditioner takes out all the brassiness in my blonde hair and is silicon and sulfates free (something you want all of your hair products to be). I am completely converted from the purple shampoo I was using from Sally's to this one forever. It smells amazing and the scent lasts for about two days and it is also very nourishing to my hair. I couldn't find it on their website but I bought it at target for about $6.99 a bottle. Lip Bar Lipstick in Purple RainThis is such a bold neon purple lipstick and I LOVE it. First of all the color is amazing, it is extremely pigmented and opaque. The formula is fantastic, it's super creamy and is not drying at all. The packaging for their lipsticks is beyond gorgeous and elegant, and it comes with a cute little bag to protect it on the go which is always nice! You can get them here for $20. Hoola Bronzer by BenefitSo I discovered that this bronzer was made by the Gods. It's seriously that great. I'm in love. What's so great about it is the pigmentation is perfection, its the right blend of brown shades and is completely matte, and it is so easy to blend into your foundation when contouring. The brush that comes with it is amazing for contouring so that's just a huge bonus. This bronzer also looks amazing with all of my blushes. You can buy it here for $28. Expert Face Brush by Real TechniquesThis brush is amazing for buffing in foundation for a nice airbrushed look. I use with with my liquid foundation, applying using small circles and a bit of pressure. This brush makes my foundation look flawless and is also super easy to clean. You can buy it here for $6.29. Pret-a-Surfer Nail Polish by EssieThis polish is the perfect dark periwinkle for all seasons. It is so pigmented, you only have to use a single coat. I love how delicate and chic the color is, and Essie is my favorite nail polish brand because I love how their formula is long lasting but easy to remove and it doesn't dye your nails. Get it here for $8.50. L'Oreal Telescopic MascaraGuys. gUYss. GuyyyyyyssssssSS. This stuff is seriously a godsend. It looks so amazing and makes your lashes so long. People always ask me if I'm wearing fake lashes whenever I wear it cause it looks that amazing. I like it more than any mascara I've ever used (even the high end ones). It is also fairly easy to remove (I use coconut oil). You can get it here for $7.99. That's it for my July favorites. Thanks for reading and please like my page on facebook and share this post! Thank you for all of the support I love you all!
May the wings of your eyeliner always be even, Maisie. Sorry for my gross knees, I floor burned them at dance haha. Shout out to my dolphin mood ring. Isn't this plant gorgeous, I had to post a picture of just it so you could obsess about it with me. Anyway on to the outfit. I am a huge fan of tribal prints and cloths that feel like PJ's, so these shorts basically complete my life. I liked that basicness of pairing them with a plain black tee and a cardigan. I added layered necklaces and rings to make it a bit more dynamic. This outfit was great for a beach day and was the perfect amount of coverage so I wasn't too hot or cold. The sandals fit the outfit perfectly even though I only wore them for five seconds. Thank you for reading!
May the wing of your eyeliner always be even, Maisie. Top-Target (I think) Cardigan- Marshalls Shorts - Marshalls Shoes - American Eagle Glitter Necklace - Charming Charlies Arrow Necklace- Kirklands I just put a ring on a gold chain for my other necklace and I honestly don't know where my rings are from Sorry! |
